Coconut oil is one of the few foods that can be classified as a "superfood". Its benefits include skin and hair care, weight loss, improving digestion and increasing immunity against a series of infections and diseases.

The History of Coconut
Coconut oil is used not only in tropical countries, where plantations are more frequent, but also in America, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Gradually, people discover its wonders, so that coconut oil gains popularity all over the world.
To date, there are over 1,500 studies that prove that coconut oil is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. This is due to healthy fats called medium chain fatty acids - MCFA - which include caprylic acid, lauric acid and capric (decanoic) acid. About 62% of coconut oils are made up of these three healthy fatty acids, and 91% of the fats in coconut oil are healthy saturated fats.
The Nutritional Values

Unlike the long-chain fatty acids found in base oils obtained from plants, those contained in coconut oil are
· Easier to digest It is not easily stored as fat
· Antimicrobials and antifungals properties
· The small molecules are having an easier permeability at the cellular level
· Processed by the liver, which means an immediate conversion into energy, instead of being stored as fat
· All this makes coconut oil a super food with extraordinary benefits for the health of the whole body.
Most of the fats we consume require quite a long time to digest, but the MCFAs in coconut oil are digested very quickly - in only three steps compared to the 26 required by the rest of the fats - representing a perfect source of energy.
